The Wiltshire countryside is perfect for an intimate wedding day. We had the most incredible April sun and being from Cornwall, it was so good to get a fix of the South West after locking down (because I can’t even remember how many we got up to in the end?!).

Venue

Larmer Tree Gardens is a fantastic intimate wedding venue nestled in the countryside on the Wiltshire/Dorset border. It offers a vast range of locations for every aspect of your wedding day, which means there are many to explore for your couple portraits too. It’s a beaut!

The Larmer Tree Gardens, created by General Pitt Rivers in 1880 are an extraordinary example of Victorian extravagance and vision, the perfect country wedding venue. The gardens hold a unique collection of ornate buildings, ranging from the spectacular Singing Theatre to the magical Roman Temple. The majestic trees and intimate arbours create secrecy and surprise, whilst the open lawns provide a perfect setting for reception drinks and a relaxing game of croquet. Above all, one of my favourite features about the venue was the quirkiness of each and every location. Some of them were hidden away and it was so lovely to come across them later on! Consequently, it added a magical touch to a venue that already took your breath away. Oh, and the peacocks were the icing on the cake.
