It’s safe to say that I’m pretty obsessed with beaches, so this Sussex coastal elopement was an absolute dream come true for me.
I suppose it has a lot to do with growing up in Cornwall near the coast. We were completely spoilt by the amount of coast surrounding us and the vast range of scenery the coastline provided. If you’re Cornish then you’ll understand the north coast/south coast debate! (South coast for me with the warmer calmer waters for a dip any time of year).
I’d never visited the Sussex coast before and immediately loved it. The Sussex weather was (almost) perfect for this stunning coastal elopement. We had lots of cloud cover and then a sprinkling of rain here and there. Kate and Ben embraced it like troopers and who really cares about rain when you’re loved up and going to get in the sea anyway?! They had a beautiful ceremony led by celebrant Mandy and we took some beautiful coastal portraits. It was them and it was perfect.
It may be, it may not be. If you are an outdoors lover like myself, then I would say to include the outdoors as much as possible in your day. Whether eloping or having a larger wedding, consider your location wisely! You can’t choose the weather, but you sure as hell can choose where you are and which special people you want around you.
Getting married? I’d love to hear from you! Check out more of my work and get in touch.
